About Alison Harbaugh | Visual Storyteller

Alison Harbaugh was born to be a story teller.  After ten years of working in different photography careers, she decided to return to her original love of documenting the places and people she came across.  She has worked as a sports photographer for The United States Naval Academy and The Baltimore Ravens, as a newspaper photographer and as a wedding photographer, but nothing makes her light up more than hearing other peoples stories and being able to share them with others through writing and photography.

She works with Vision Workshops, a non-profit organization that mentors children through photography and writing in Baltimore, MD and Washington DC as well as internationally.

In 2008, she released her first photo book, "Where Severn Joins the Tide," a photographic journey of the US Naval Academy.

Most recently she worked on a personal project with two NGO's  in India, where she created her first multimedia piece and continued her love of nighttime street shooting.

In addition to her documentary work, she is also the sole owner of Freckle Photography in Annapolis, Maryland. www.frecklephotography.com

She currently resides along the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland with her fiancee and turtle and is willing and ready to travel the world for any story.
